Businessmen, politicians and academics from Bulgaria and Austria detained their meetings in Rousse in the Bulgarian-Austrian Regional Management Forum. The event was part of a series of regional meetings with the view to built centers where the experience of the last 20 years of innovation, corporate governance, regional development, social and cultural practices - arising from Bulgarian relations with Austria - can be integrated. The main idea of the Forum is to develop and encourage the traditional Bulgarian-Austrian economical and cultural bonds and to strengthen the partnership between Bulgaria and Austria via the Danube, on the basis of historical relationships.
Mr. Petroslav Petrov, Executive Director of EMC, opened the first discussion with following words: "Recent years have shown that the Austrian model of development is most successful for Bulgaria". He explained, that the long-term interests in the Danube region are associated with the construction and modernization of transport and energy infrastructure, environmental protection, the development of research and technology and some tourism and cultural cooperation. The speeches, given during the meetings, were concepts of the experiences of various companies in the region and were supposed to extend the Bulgarian-Austrian business contacts and to transfer corporate knowledge through joint training, which the European Management Centre organized by means of Austrian consultants.
